This past Tuesday, 888poker’s XL Eclipse offered three of the charity tournaments on the schedule. All tournament fees paid by players participating in these events would go to the Against Malaria Foundation. First on the schedule this week was Event #126. This tournament was a Super High Roller charity event that had a buy-in of $5,200 and a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000. $200 from every player participating would go towards the charity. This event had 87 participants and 37 re-entries which helped to create more than $24,000 in funds for the charity.
Event #127 was also a ‘Chip-In’ tournament. With a $215 buy-in and $150,000 in prize money, this event saw many more taking part with 585 buying in directly. 360 players purchased reentries. According to Pocketfives, this event created more than $14,000 in donations.
